Rejig has now been running weekly sewing sessions on Monday evenings at the Middleton St George Community Centre since November 2016. It’s a very busy community centre with a great range of activities on offer, and the Rejig sessions have been getting steadily busier. Sewing together is a very sociable thing to do and our groups are always an interesting mixture of people of all ages from different walks of life, and as well as learning new skills, we find lots of new friendships forming and plenty of laughing going on too.
The community centre is self-managing and the local committee is always keen to have new community centre members who can get more involved in its regular activities. They are currently busy trying to raise more funding to improve and develop better facilities for the centre and welcome new ideas and events. Take a look at the regular programme of sessions and support your local centre – they have a Facebook page and website and members share local news and information
